Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx 4 (1/2 | 7/13)
Creative individuals trying to build a legacy to express and immortalise their own direction; providing and maintaining mutative direction through example. (Gates 1-2-7-13)
At the final turning of the Human Design wheel, you rise from a fissure in the underworld, crowned with invisibility, cloaked in obsidian light. You are the alchemist who forges your own life into an immortal legend, hammering personal direction on the anvil of mutation until it becomes a paradigm for all time.
Gate 1 is the hexagram of Heaven—the gate of self-expression, creativity independent of will, love is light, sustained creative energy, solitude as the medium for creativity, energy to attract the social masses, objectivity, with creativity rooted in unique direction, unlimited, full of potential, enough to initiate inspirational energy, the individual fully expressed through interaction. You creatively express yourself, whether through art or more creatively guiding those around you. In your interaction with life, there is always something fresh and creative happening. Whether your guidance is elusive or quite precise, those who approach you for guidance will get exquisite instructions on how to proceed. Taking shortcuts is your style, you love ways that everyone can understand, and you can explain your goals and reasons.
Gate 2 is the hexagram of Earth—intuition, genius, patience, concealment, flexible application, fixation, returning to one/supreme state: wholeness/gift: positioning/shadow: dislocation/repressive tendency: lost/reactive tendency: strictly controlled, the driver, no matter how you decide to respond, receptivity is the fundamental foundation, the root of action, supporting us in the reversal of separation.
Gate 7 is the hexagram of the Army—authoritarian, democrat, anarchist, abdicator, general, administrator, the elected leader, the design of the convergence point, to guide and direct the collective, the need for leadership, establishing viable patterns to lead us into the future.
Gate 13 is Heaven over Fire hexagram—empathy, paranoia, pessimism, exhaustion, savior, optimist, the secret listener, in a structured framework, with chess-like ideas and values, inspiring human-centered cooperation. Accumulated knowledge from past cycles becomes memory.
You did not come to give directions to others. You came so that the sight of you, fully lived, becomes the direction. Every step you take is a signpost for the future; every footprint you leave is an arrow carved into the stone of time. You are a living Rosetta Stone, a myth written in flesh. People do not ask you for the way — they ask your legend for the way.
The Egyptian Sphinx stands mute in the desert precisely because it has already transformed itself into direction. So it is with you: you do not need to speak, for your being already speaks; you do not need to lead, for your life already leads. When those who come after look back and see the tracks you left in the sand, they will know: this is how one can live.
Hades — Pluto — the unseen king of the underworld, just and severe, guardian of infinite subterranean wealth and of death itself. He reigns over the Quarter of Mutation: through mutation purpose is achieved; through the acceptance of death one truly becomes immortal. You are the alchemist who transmutes death into legacy — the moment you die, the legend finally begins.
